Nomane Ministry exists to support the Bible translation, discipleship and missionary work in and with the Nomane people of Papua New Guinea.
Living with the people of Nomane, since 2012, making Christ known to them through the translation of Scriptures into their mother tongues: Kewo-Meba and Meine, through the public reading of Scriptures and through personal testimony, serving Christ, by serving the Nomane.
Discipleship, training and education, capacity building and identifying and furthering resources for community development and sustainability, conflict resolution, practical assistance, including medical evacuation and rescue operations
There is an urgency for people in this world to hear and believe. "And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard?" (Romans 8:14-15). We are sent to make disciples in all the world. It is a commission for the whole Church. Let us not leave a minority people only wishing they had God’s Word in a form they can read and hear.
In the words of Marawe, an old Nomane man: “Thank you, thank you for doing this. I am so glad to hear God speak to us and understood everything. When I listen to the preaching in Tok Pisin, some things I hear, some things are not clear or are hard to understand. Now, I understood everything. Thank you”
Help us record Scripture onto solar-powered, audio players, so that those who are illiterate will hear and believe. Oral societies love listening over and over to audio Scriptures.
In the words of Senis, a young mother: "I listen to it with my husband all the time. The Gospel of John, chapters 20 and 21, spoke to my heart. I used to lie, slander, quarrel. That has changed."
